A Message from Our Principal

Dear WES Cowkids and Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are excited for another year of fun, friendship, and learning. A new school year brings new opportunities to grow, discover, build relationships, and create memories, and we can’t wait to get started!

My name is Erin Bowlby, and I am honored to continue serving as principal of our wonderful elementary school, where I have been a part of the WES family for the past 16 years. Willcox is my hometown, and it is a privilege to serve the community that has helped shape who I am. I love watching our students grow, celebrating their successes, and working alongside our dedicated staff and families to create an environment where every Cowkid can thrive.

As we begin this new school year, we are excited to continue building on the strong foundation of learning, kindness, responsibility, and school pride that makes WES such a special place. These values help us create a school where every student feels welcomed, supported, and ready to learn.

Thank you to our Cowkid families for the trust and support you give our school. The partnership between home and school makes a tremendous difference in the lives of our students. My door is always open, and I encourage you to call, email, or stop by whenever you have questions, concerns, or ideas to share. Our teachers, staff, secretaries, and administration are here to support our Cowkids and help make their elementary school experience a positive and memorable one.

One of my greatest hopes is that every student at WES knows they belong, that they have adults who care about them, and that they are capable of learning and achieving great things. We work hard to build meaningful connections with every child so that they feel safe asking for help, sharing their needs, and taking the risks that come with learning something new.
