A Message from our Principal

Dear Families,

It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to Willcox Elementary School! The teachers and staff are excited to work with our WES Cowkids and their families. We are always ready to teach and learn together, and I extend to you an invitation to partner with us as we create a quality educational environment for your children.

Our elementary school provides a top-notch education to students in PreK–4th grade. We are focused on providing a full-spectrum learning experience that includes not only the core academic classes, but also art, music, physical education, computer classes, and many more learning activities. WES has a small student-to-teacher ratio, which we believe makes us more capable of reaching each student individually and helping our students reach their full potential. As well, we have an excellent special education staff who address the needs of our exceptional students.

We are excited that this school year brings a new core literacy program to our school. We know that raising children who are excellent readers and writers is the way to becoming good students in all areas, and so we have chosen to invest our time and efforts into providing an even greater emphasis on teaching reading, writing, spelling, and grammar, as well as speaking and listening skills.

I am proud of the staff that we have at WES. Our teachers are excellent, and they have the assistance of a dedicated group of paraprofessionals. Through their hard work and preparation, the children of our community receive a quality education at WES.
